August 2011 - International Training on Climate Change Adaptation Planning

Detail : Climate Change Knowledge Management Center (CCKM), Chulalongkorn University, under support from Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had organized an international training course on climate change adaptation planning for participants from over 15 countries from Asia, Africa, Central & South America and Oceania during 22-31 August 2011. SEA START RC had provided technical support on giving lecture on the following topics:

• Climate Change Risk Assessment: Concepts and approaches
• Assessing Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation
• Climate Change Risk Communication

In addition, the participants to this international course had visited study sites in northeastern region of Thailand, where SEA START RC and Khon Kaen University had jointly conducted study on the issue of climate change risk, vulnerability and adaptation in various communities.
