October 2010 - Workshop on Future Scenarios of Chiang Khan District in 2580 B.E.

Place : Chiang Khan, Thailand.
Detail : SEA START RC, in partnership with Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and, together with Chiang Khan Municipality, jointly organized a workshop on long term scenario development for Chiang Khan. The workshop was held in Chiang Khan and brought together around 30 senior journalists and Chiang Khan Community’s members to explore what the future may hold for the community in 2580 B.E. under different scenarios of combined change in livelihood, development, environment and climate conditions. The workshop expanded visions of thecommunity and members of the press on new horizon in community strategic planning under global warming in holistic view. For the first time media representatives have become active players in such a process. The workshop was supported by TBWA\Thailand, who helped design and conduct the workshop . This workshop is an activity under UNEP/SEI Adaptation Platform.
