Southeast START Regional Center has been conducting the study in Southeast Asia region on climate change impact, vulnerability and adaptation since 1997 with main objectives to get basic understanding on climate change at the regional scale and also to develop research capacity as well as research network in the region to study climate change impact, vulnerability and adaptation. In addition, the goal of the climate change study at SEA START RC is also to develop, modify and test various tools and methodologies for the study in this subject. 

SEA START RC focuses the study on climate change in South-east Asia on the following topics: 
• Climate change scenarios for South-east Asia. Data on future climate projection, which is high resolution GCMs downscaled, is provided through Climate Data Distribution System.
• Climate change impact in South-east Asia. Read more.
• Climate change vulnerability and climate change adaptation on various systems and sector in South-east Asia. The study on climate change V&A also focuses on area-based climate change risk assessment, mainstreaming climate change into development policy and community-based adaptation to climate change. The study base on integrated approach which addresses holistic aspect of the study area. Read more.
